Confidential Counseling, Family Therapy and Coaching
It is common that people experience struggles that can interfere with daily living activities and relationships. I have been working in the mental health field for over 27 years. I enjoy helping individuals and families who are affected by depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, anxiety and phobias, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, self-esteem, and addiction. I also have many years of experience working with children and adolescents with learning differences, and/or behavioral struggles. This was my focus in my early years in the Mental Health field. In the latter part of my graduate program in Counseling I started an internship where I realized my passion for working with people who had been in traumatic situations such as abusive relationships, accidents, illness and injury, loss of a loved one, or war. In 2012 and 2013 I received EMDR training and became certified. I have found that EMDR has been a wonderfully effective therapy, and I appreciate that it addresses how trauma impacts the nervous system and the body. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and appreciate that it effectively targets images and memories so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions.
I make every effort to ensure that counseling and all
client contact is provided in a secure and confidential manner. It is important to understand that email is not the most secure means of communication and it is best to attempt to contact
me directly via telephone:

to text messaging, but please consider that this also may not be a confidential means of communication.
