Do you currently have - or have you recently experienced - any of the following?

__  Sad or empty mood

__  Loss of pleasure in activities you normally enjoy

__  Weight loss or weight gain, diminished or increased appetite

__  Sleep difficulties, too much or too little sleep

__  Feelings of restlessness or being slowed down

__  Fatigue or loss of energy

__  Feelings of worthlessness or guilt

__  Indecisiveness, or diminished ability to think or concentrate

__  Recurrent thoughts of death or suicide

If you answered Yes to five or more of the above, you may very likely be suffering from depression.

Going through life depressed, is like going through life with a chronic case of the flu—yet 80% of depressed individuals are not receiving treatment, and likely don't even realize they are depressed.

Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapies are often effective in helping the individual reprogram unwanted thoughts, feelings and actions. Both therapies provide clear, structured action steps to help the client move past old depressive patterns.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is often effective as well.
